About Us

BlueMumble Reviews, a Filipino review website on Movies, Books, TV, and Music,  is composed of four wide-eyed individuals who wanted to write for the country’s top newspapers but were turned down an unforgivable number of times because they were, simply, overqualified.

Karen Michelle Bantugon, a.k.a. Laime.
The influence of her time suggests her approach in life with principles and punk. She believes that the best visuals are not seen in film or screen but those that are read in print, heard in radio, and smelled in an orchestrated event where the director and producer was able to ignite the imaginative mind of the audience. Her best childhood memories are remembered by a scent rushing through her nostrils, her best bet Filipino culture scripts are heard in a radiorama, and her spirit inspired by the works of those who are noble in paperback. The most excellent films ever existed are those daydreamed, sought for, and pleasantly formed in the mind.

Rom Cantos, a.k.a. gwapong Rom.
Rom is the business-minded guy.  He quit his day (and night) job as an engineer to become a full-fledged bum.  He’s studying philosophy to kill the hours when he’s not bumming around, maintaining his websites, capturing photographs through his lens, driving his friends around, playing the guitar and transcribing songs to guitar chords.  Needless to say, girls fall for him, not just because of his disposition and outlook in life, but because he trips them so that they’ll fall for him, inevitably.

Chris Daniel Loza, a.k.a. Chris.
Chris is the angel.  His ethereal presence brings light to the dark side, to which he is naturally inclined and attracted to.  He has no known vice except books.  He doesn’t smoke, drink, or do anything outrageously illegal.  He prowls the night and snores through the day.  He rarely speaks.  That’s why he writes.  He’s planning to have Angelina Jolie adopt him and Natalie Portman marry him.  He’ll get there.  By mercy or brute force.

Antonio Nunez, a.k.a. Magic.
Magic is the programmer guy.  He talks to computers the way we humans talk to each other.  His interests range from, of course, computers to sports to movies and TV shows, and girls, girls, and more girls.  Without Magic, this website would be devoid of any content.
